About

Hi and thanks for visiting my shop!
My name is Brittanee and I am the one woman show that is Pretty Wild Fibers.
I was raised in the southeast corner of Wyo and now reside among Colorado’s majestic mountains. I’ve been a creative since birth and am a self taught artist across many mediums. Over the years, I’ve dabbled in everything from painting to woodwork to ceramics. I found a strong love for fiber arts in 2016 when I picked up some rope from a local craft store and made my first macrame wall hanging.

While my fiber journey began with macrame, my style and overall aesthetic has grown beyond in recent months. After about 2 years in business I found myself craving a much different vibe in the things I was putting out there. Around that time, a friend had gifted me a loom, and that’s when my craft expanded. These days, you’ll find my work encompasses elements of both macrame and weaving, tons of texture, and {lately} lots of color! I don’t find or seek out inspiration in anything in particular. Just like the ebb and flow of the ocean’s edges, such is my inspiration. It comes to me at different times for different reasons. I don’t sketch or plan out my designs. I simply go into them with a small idea and follow wherever my imagination takes me. I enjoy growth in trial and error.

When I’m not creating, I’m enjoying life with my boyfriend, Mike and our dog, Cinta. Given that we live in the mountains, we partake in many outdoor activities from camping to snowboarding and everything in between.

Thanks for stopping by to see what my hands have created, and for supporting my small business!
